Artist of the Month #4: Eileen Harrisson

For Artist of the month July 2022, We’re delighted to introduce you to Eileen Harrisson

In Eileen’s Words

I’m an artist originally from Co. Down, Northern Ireland, currently living and working in North Wales. I particularly enjoy the rhythms of hand stitch, and, also writing poetry and music, I am interested in developing the symbiotic relationship between stitch, sound, and word. Earlier this year, I put on my PhD Exhibition A Sorrowful Healing in the School of Art Gallery, Aberystwyth University and, currently writing my thesis, this will, when finished, complete the work for my doctorate. After this, I will look forward to once more exhibiting my textile work and installations in galleries here in Wales and beyond.
