Announcing the Strategic Partnership of AM and Egin

Today, the AM platform and Egin are proud to announce a Strategic Partnership which will span the next three years.

Egin is a new programme by Development Trusts Association Wales which aims to unlock the combined power of communities in Wales to take their first steps in tackling climate change and become more sustainable, especially the ones that are most likely to be affected by climate chanfe. Egin’s main focus is to work with groups which are less likely to feel included in conversations about environment and sustainability, but are likely to be the ones most effective by climate change.

AM is a digital platform which shares the communal and inclusive culture of Wales, which is funded by the Welsh Government. In the three years since its establishment in 2020, the app and website has grown to reflect the activity of over 350 Creative Partners/channels, and has received over 1,000,000 page views. Moving forward, AM aims to become a haven for cultural and community-based activity, and especially to spotlight campaigns and digital content associated with the environental crisis.

The aim of this partnership is to introduce the Egin programme to different communities via AM’s audience and partners, by documenting and promoting the essential work that they do to develop sustainability on a community level. AM also hopes to ensure that Egin’s advice and feedback dictates a three year strategy which places sustainability at the heart of their operation as a platform.

Gwyneth Jones, Communications Manager of Egin, says:

“AM is an exciting project which touches on a lot of important topics which reaches a lot of the audiences we wish to reach – so we’re really excited to be collaborating with them over the coming years!”

Alun Llwyd, Chief Executive of AM, adds:

“Egin is an incredibly exciting and necessary new programme and AM is very proud to launch this partnership to extend the programme’s reach so that communities across Wales can benefit from their expertise to implement the key changes needed in order to act on the environmental crisis in the future”

Egin’s logo will be added to AM’s homepage from today onwards. Go to Egin’s new channel to see some of their content and to learn more about how you can join their online community.
