DAC Member Gwyneth Lewis awarded MBE

Poet and DAC member Gwyneth Lewis has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for services to literature. Gwyneth is from Cardiff and was the inaugural national poet of Wales in 2005. Gwyneth shared this comment with us:

'I'm very grateful to receive the acknowledgement of an MBE for my work, especially as it's partly for my campaigning about mental health. After the last decade of dealing with the challenges of chronic migraine, accepting an honour means a great deal.' Gwyneth Lewis

Everyone at Disability Arts Cymru would like to extend the biggest congratulations to Gwyneth! Llongyfarchiadau mawr x
